marketing is the
process of joining an affiliate program of a merchant to
promote their products through different marketing
techniques.
The
affiliate usually earns a percentage or commission of the
sale. There are different ways that the merchant can track
the sales or leads usually by planting a cookie on the
visitors computer when they enter the merchants website
through the (affiliate's website or personalized
link).
The
product does not cost the purchaser any more money than it
would by buying directly from the merchant. The affiliate
just receives a percentage of the sale for his or her
marketing efforts.

might say why does the merchant bother with having to pay
the affiliate, why not just keep all of the money by selling
